Pete Efford has been a deep trance medium for over 25 years performing physical and mental trance mediumship. This involves sitting in a darkened room with just a dim red light aimed at his face. He has a collective group of highly evolved spirits known as 'Bernard' that speak through him by taking control of his voice box. He also channels people's relatives and transfigures (face changes) into them by using an ectoplasmic mask so that the sitter can see and talk with them. Ectoplasm exudes from his chest/throat area as a fine mist which is then moulded over his face to take on the features of the spirit person. It can also be used to form an ectoplasmic voice box so that the spirits can talk in their own voices 'out of thin air', which has happened only a few times and has been audio recorded. Take note of the ectoplasmic build up in his forehead...
